Yummy Birthday Wishes - EB DT

So I will totally be MIA this week. But, before I go, I wanted to show you this sweet little image from Elisabeth Bell. She is called Sweet Sundae and you can purchase her in the Elisabeth Bell Digital Gallery.  The thing I love about digital images is that I can make them how big I want, I can merge them with another image or accessory. Best part, they only take up a little bit a room on my computer and no room in my craft room! ;-))  If you haven't tried one, you may be suprised at how much you like them.

I colored Sweet Sundae with Copic markers. I believe the greens were from the G20 family.  The oranges were YR00, YR02, YR04. I colored the background with Prisma color pencils. The sentiment is from Verve and all the papers are from Close to my Heart. Pretty simple card, not much else to it!

So, I hit 100 followers and I am putting together my 100th Follower Blog Candy this week. I'm going to try to get it done and posted before I leave, but if not, when I get back I will be sure to get it up for you all. It's filled with lots of yummy things. Promise not to disappoint you!

Another thing, did you know that Elisabeth has started her own Challenge blog??? You can use ANY of her images from all the different companies that carry her images. You can also use her digital images.  The Challenges run once a month. Be sure to check it out....  Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog

Challenges:

Sweet Stop Sketches - Sketch
Crafty Calendar - Birthdays
Paper Play - Blue, orange, green

Hugs,

Glinda the Good Witch- Magnolia

Hello!  The weekend is almost gone, so sad. I have been continueing to re-organize my craft room. If you didn't see my craft room post, you can view it HERE. It's pretty well organized, but there were still some nooks and crannys that needed unloaded, sorted, pitched or used. Because isn't that an interesting concept, to use what we buy!! ha! On that note, I bought some halloween papers after I pretty much thought I was done with making any halloween cards. So I figured I should USE the paper and make another halloween card. This tilda really isn't a witch, but she looks to me like a "Good Witch" kinda like Glinda from Oz. Hence my card.

I colored this cute lil' tilda with Distress Inks. I'm getting better at them! Yea! I did want her dress more orange, but I was scared to fool with it to much. So I stopped!  The flowers are prima. Not sure where I bought the witches hat charm from.  The paper is Creative Imaginations -by Samantha Walker. That cute little ticket sentiment is made by Ann over at Whimsy Stamps. You can purchase them HERE

Ok soooooo I have some good news. I have almost 100 followers. When I get to 100, I will be posting some AWESOME Blog Candy. You won't want to miss this. There will even be some Maggies in it!! yeah!
So if you aren't one, become a follower and stay tuned!

Another bit of good news. I will now be apart of the Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog Design Team. This weeks challenge is Distressing, so be sure to add us to you Challenge Blog list and join in. Plus Ann always gives away the nicest Freebie sentiments.

Challenges:
Sentimental Sundays - Distress
Crazy 4 Challenges - Halloween
Raise the Bar - Orange, black, purple
Stampin' for the weekend - halloween or fall
Stamp Something - Use something digi (my sentiment)
Dutch Dare - Color Combo

My Work Space!!!!!!

I shared my workspace some time ago, however I just re-arranged and re-did it a little. So I thought I would share it again! Plus I have quite a few extra followers since then. I love my space and I am VERY grateful to have a space that is ALL MINE!  Althought my daughter has taken some of it and she now calls it "our" space. But I put her back into place!! hehehe It's mine, all mine! lol  This is long post, so grab a cup o' Joe and relax!

My friend stopped by last night while I was in the middle of doing this...lets just say....it was a DISASTER!! I can't even describe it, I should have taken pictures! LOL

So let's take the tour.....  the above is where I work. See that big blank wall, I need some ideas for it. I keep holding off thinking something better will come along...but so far....nothing has really made me want to do it. The only thing that I am leaning towards right now is towel racks for all of my punches. I use the border punches quite a bit and right now they are shoved into a basket in one of the cupboards on the right of me.  The wood drawers I bought from Ikea. I had this bright idea that I would paint them and decorate them....that was 3 years ago.  I still intend to do that, I swear!  Next to that are all my CTMH inks. Then my OTT-Lite (I can not work without this now...Love it!) Next my meager supply of Copics. I need more...but I have put off buying more because I have been buying refills instead and ouch, those hurt the wallet!!  I was terrified of running out of ink in my favorite colors lol   Next is some misc crap...then there is a paint brush holder my FIL made. In the white shelves (I need to paint this espresso) I have mostly prima flowers, buttons and some paints. In front of that is my beloved sewing machine. I keep all of my used frequently tools in the turn-about from pampered chef.  Next......

The cube is the Expedit from Ikea, I love that thing. It has all sorts of "crap" in it. Mostly scrapbooking supplies. Albums, chipboard, misc.  The black desk in the middle of the room is from Pier One. I had to have this....however, now I kinda wish I didn't have to have this! LOL  I love it, but sometimes it is in the way. I had it up against the window out of the way, but it was pretty much being used as a junk table. So when I rearranged I put it back in the middle. When my friends come over I will just have to scoot it on out to put up a folding table. No biggie.  Ohhh, and do you see my new computer? Isn't that screen the coolest! I love it. It's a 24" widescreen monitor. I love my new puter...its wonderful...and mine! :-)  The wall words "Create Life's Memories" are from Uppercase Living. I love wall words...just sayin'.

The short shelf under the window holds my big tools (big shot, cricut, etc) The box in the corner is my poor excuse for a light box. It's seen better days. But it works...so why fix something that ain't broke. (technically) lol   The first tall book case is also from Ikea. It holds all my papers. The bottom shelf and part of the one above however, is my daughters.  The next bookase is in the process of being reorganized. Right now it's a mod-podge of stuff. So we will ignore that. Then next to it, you can't see it in the picture" is another bookcase and it holds all of my stamps and you can see this below:

The top shelf are all of my Magnolias. The 2nd shelf holds other companies and the only Stampin' Up stamps that I have left. I had 2 or 3 HUGE boxes full of SU at one point, but have slowly sold them. I have 6 sets to put on ebay this week, as a matter of fact.  The next shelves have my misc. wood block stamps. I hate wood block stamps, but some I keep cuz' ya never know.  The rest of the white bins are all of my Close to my Heart stamps. I also have 2 more of those in my "Sell" pile, which you can't see!!

This is next to my workspace and it now holds all of my WOC flowers and ribbons.

Ok, so thats it. Thanks for looking and have a fabulous weekend!!!!!!! I know I plan too!  Heading to Carrabas tonight to have dinner with a friend. Tomorrow I have a halloween party to go to...so I will be busy, busy, busy!

Apple Easel Recipe Card

Hello! This has to be a super quickie. It's 11:40 p.m. here and I have to be up at 5! Yuck!!  However, while waiting for my pumpkin and banana bread to cook, I figured I would finish a card I had started earlier. Then of course I am Ms. Antsy herself and why would I wait til the morning, at a decent hour to post. No....I have to do it now. Although when 5 a.m comes around I will be cursing myself!

Here is my Apple Easel Recipe Card (I also posted one where the recipe card isn't included)

So here is where I got the apple template CLICK HERE  The largest apple, made almost a perfect 6x6 card. I colored Tilda with copic markers. Boy did I have the darndest time coloring that green. I kept going over it again and again, never satisfied with how it turned out. I'm still not happy with it. You can pick up Apple Tilda in Dianas Magnolilicious store. It's part of the new Cozy Collection. She is soooo cute!  The apple basket next to her is from a Just-Rite stamp. I kinda went on a Just-Rite shopping spree last week. My friend and I went to the Scrapbook Expo in West Palm Beach (should have been called Dollar Expo) We had a great time, but it was one of the worst Expos I have been to in sometime. I don't understand why...strange. Maybe the economy. Anyways, there wasn't much that interested us except the Just-Rite booth. Needless to say, we bought a few.....just a few...I swear only a few! haha

The paper is Creative Imaginations and Close to My Heart. The leaf stamp is from the new Timeless set from Close to My heart as is the flourish on the inside.

The Recipe is from Allrecipes.com I am baker, I love to bake. I swear by Allrecipes.com  I have found so many great recipes on that website. Quite a few have become  traditions and staples around my house. Ok, it's just about Midnight....so I am heading off to bed! Night!!

7 Kids - Flowers and Layers
ABC  - F is for Flowers

Footwear - SNB Dt

Another quickie today. I used this stamp for a halloween card, but truly I think it could be used for other purposes besides Halloween. I mean really, does the Wicked Witch of the West only come out during Halloween, no.   This reminds me of her. ;-)  Btw,Have you ever seen the broadway production, Wicked? If you haven't and it is traveling and comes through your town, I HIGHLY recommend it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE musicals and that is definitely in my top 5. I have seen it in NYC and I saw it in Tampa a few years ago. It was just as good as the NYC production. I have the soundtrack to it too, I can sing all of the songs (trust me you don't want to hear my renditions!!) I just love it...... "I want to be popular...I want to be popular...lalalalalala.  See now it's in my head and not leaving! I will be singing Wicked songs all day now!

So here is what I created using "Footwear" a digital stamp by Stretch n Bubbles. You can pick it up HERE in the SNB store.

Once again, this is colored with Copics. I would love to do some of the digital stamps in Distress inks, but I have been having problems with that. Two things, 1- the ink bleeds. I only have this problem in tight areas with lots of little lines. 2nd- I can't get the paper to feed through my printer anymore.  It was feeding fine and all of a sudden, nothing. So I think maybe I wore out the wheels? I dunno. Strange though, same paper...same weight. Now it won't feed. So for now, all my digital images will be done in Copic markers.

Thanks for looking,

Best Friends for life - Magnolia

Whew! I'm telling you this has been a busy, crazy last few weeks! I keep saying that, I know!  It's 9 p.m., I should be in bed reading my book, however I wanted to get this posted because I get antsy! hehe  Back to books, I am reading the series "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" I highly recommend it. What a great book. I am on book two now. Another great book is "The Help". Awesome!

This past weekend my husband and I had some us time and went to Orlando for the weekend. We went to Halloween Horror Nights on Thurs then on Friday we happened to be around I-Drive and there was a Zombie Fest. Oh my, that was interesting lol  Different, but very interesting. I tell ya. I'll post some pics after the card if anybody cares to see. ;-)  They actually stopped traffic on International Drive and walked it. These people really got into to. Some stayed in character the entire time. It was great.

Later that evening we went to Howl at the Moon. I love piano bars. It wasn't my favorite though. We use to have a great local one but it closed. Now there isn't anything around.  I love the one in Las Vegas at the Paris hotel, Napoleons. I can't remember the guys name, but he rocks. It could be that he is from my home of Ohio..hmm..;-)) By the way. GO BUCKEYES. They had a great game this weekend.

Now on to my card. I did buy this stamp, but it was on backorder. So I have to wait :-( So Sad. However, a good friend of mine was kind enough to give me a stamped image of it. :-))) I know it's called Brother and Sister however, when I first saw it, it reminded me of me and my husband. I thought it would make a PERFECT anniversary card. Unfortunately my anniversary isn't until May!! 12 yrs! ;-))  I made it anyways, not sure if I am going to sell this one or keep it until May..hrmm.

Isn't that qoute the sweetest???? When I saw it, I knew it would be perfect!

Inside - I thought it would be nice to circle the month and date on the little calendar thing. I didn't do it yet, because not sure if I am going to keep or sell.

So I colored the Maggie with Copic markers and the background is done with Prisma color pencils. Some of the shading on the dress is color pencils too. The paper is all from Close to my Heart. Trying to use up some of stashes. I have SOOOOO much CTMH paper. I printed the qoute and the sentiment. The little  "things that make me happy and the calendar" are all from the Notebook paper pack from CTMH. I distressed everything, because that's just how I roll. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

So here are some pictures from my Orlando Trip.
